The Early Years

From a young age, Hans Deckers showed an unmistakable fascination with everything that moved — especially on wheels.
He often accompanied his father on the road, absorbing the rhythm of long drives and the stories that came with them. Whether it was riding through quiet village streets or roaring down international highways, those early trips left a lasting impression. As a boy, Hans wasn’t just along for the ride — he was watching, learning, and falling in love with the world of engines and mechanics.

It didn’t take long before his passion for technology began to shine through. While other kids played with toys, Hans was busy examining how things worked. He was particularly drawn to cars and trucks, intrigued by their power, design, and purpose.

These early adventures — both in the Netherlands and abroad — gave him a front-row seat to the diversity of vehicles, roads, and people that define the transport world. They planted the seeds for what would later become a lifelong career in the automotive industry.
